The ikan BA12P from E-Image is a 12 foot Telescoping Boom Pole specially designed to accommodate Electronic News Gathering (ENG), Electronic Field Production (EFP), documentary, and other field recording applications.

Using a telescoping boom pole allows you to place a microphone in close proximity to the subject while remaining at a distance and out of the frame. The BA12P includes an internal coiled XLR cable which removes the hassle of tangling an XLR cable around your boom pole and also makes it easier to extend the boom pole without damaging your XLR cable. When fully collapsed, the BA12P is only 3.16 ft. in length. When fully extended it can reach up to 12 ft.

The BA12P comes with a side output XLR base so you can easily output to an external recorder.
